Creating Inspections

This article explains how to create inspections for staff or residents to complete

  1. In Entrata, go to Residents >> Maintenance >> Inspections.
  2. In the left sidebar, hover over the add icon and select Create Inspection to open a new window.
  3. In the new pop-up, select an option from each of the following drop-down menus:

    1. Select a Property
    2. Select an Inspection
    3. Inspected By - Either Staff or ResidentIn the Select an Inspection & Property section, select an option from each of the following drop-down menus:
  4. Optional: Enter dates in the following fields:
    1. Schedule for Future Date - The day the inspection will happen
    2. Inspection Due Date - The day the inspection needs to be approved

  5. If you'd like to make this inspection visible to the resident(s), toggle Visible to Resident to Yes.

  6. If there are any hazards in the unit, toggle Are there any known hazards in this unit? to Yes, and type the hazard description in the Hazard Details field that appears.

  7. Click Next

Property/Staff Inspections Resident Inspections

A new search box will appear along wwith where the Inspection will be attached - the options will be:

1. Applicant

2. Resident

3. Unit

A new search box will appear where you can find the unit or resident. Resident Inspections require selecting an actual resident and the resident will be responsible for completing the unit inspection within their portal. An example would be a Move-In Inspection

When you assign an inspection to a resident, the inspection appears in ResidentPortal.
