After a digital lease is e-signed by all necessary applicants and guarantors, you must approve the lease by countersigning it.
After generating or uploading a lease, the applicant must sign it, you must countersign it, and then the lease needs to be approved (or marked as countersigned) in Entrata. You can countersign and approve a lease from either the Lead Profile or the Dashboard.
Before you begin:
- All applicants and guarantors must have e-signed the lease through ProspectPortal.
- In Entrata, go to Dashboard >> My Dashboard >> Approvals >> Documents. The Lease Packets sidetab is selected by default.
- In-line with an applicant who has e-signed a lease, click Countersign. This opens the Approve & Sign Lease window.
- To bulk approve leases, use the checkboxes in the left-most column to select all applicants whose leases need approval. Then, click Countersign Leases above the Property column.
- In the Approve & Sign Lease window, review the lease and click the checkbox to acknowledge that you reviewed the lease.
- Enter your full name in the designated field.
- Click Click Here to Sign!.
- This changes the applicant's status to Lease: Approved. The lease is available for viewing in both ProspectPortal and the Documents tab of the Lead Profile.
